Billy Moon with guests

L'Esco |  4467 St. Denis, Montreal

Doors 10:00 pm   |   Show 11:00 pm

A presentation of Indie Montreal

Growing up outside of small town Elora, Ontario, Billy Moon’s sound was very much developed out frustration of loneliness. After moving to Hamilton and making a couple of bedroom-rock EPs, his music eventually manifested into angst-driven sound that worked.
Songs about porn, chaos, and the imagination of childhood make up his latest compilation: a collection of garage rock songs that are both dumb and fuzzy; optimistic and pessimistic.

Garnering comparisons to bands from Mac Demarco to Parquet Courts to Ty Segall, Billy Moon is simply a dude who makes fun, poppy rock songs. And, after finishing a tour that included shows with Nada Surf, Born Ruffians, Will Butler and the Pack AD, Billy Moon is set to become that band you love so much slash hate that others do, too.
