Laura Lefebvre is a francophone folk-pop singer-songwriter who is barely 20 years old. Originally from Beauce, Laura is becoming a staple of Quebec’s vibrant music scene. Since the release of her first single Alcaline, Lefebvre has quickly established herself as one of the Quebec City's top talents to watch. This past summer, she shared the stage with Yann Perreau at Place des Arts during the FrancoFolies de Montréal and played the Festival D’été de Québec. She also supported Philippe B this Fall at Quebec’s Bell Imperial Theatre as part of the Nuits FEQ. Guitar in hand, she delivers compositions with poignant texts that showcase her understated vocals. The young artist’s output is inspired by her lived experience, society and human principles that mark her.
In 2018, things are looking up for Laura: she is among the artists selected for the 23rd edition of the prestigious Francouvertes competition. Her debut EP, L’Amour Mécanique, is due out March 23, 2018 and is to be preceded by an Apéro FEQ release show at District Saint-Joseph.
